Artist of the Year 2019. Mantova - Italia

If artists always open up a certain aspect of their work, Natxo does the opposite by bringing to light a dazzling array of personal, surprising revelations. This compendium of voices seems to echo from the very same place and moment. Though this man once followed the meritorious career of journalism, he thought it was well worth crossing the psychedelic, colourful threshold from where he could discern a world packed with vertigoes, far away from the present society. That is the common theme in Natxo’s original artwork: Movement, weightlessness, blurred limits, and a maze of appearances which end up in pure fun. His attitude is not constrained by ‘-isms’ whatsoever, it finds reflection in his maverick self. The works that are shown are just a sketchy account of the universe that spins round this individual. From trial to repetition, a crossbreed comes into being, not in vain, but to suggest sparks of uniqueness, the ultimate goal and joy of the author. That is why having a glimpse of his apparently inexhaustible creativity is a must. His motto is to cut out the middleman also in art, because its understanding is up to each recipient and, eventually, Natxo’s merit is to be one for all.

Esto va dedicado para la ciudadanía de Pamplona - Iruña que confió en mi forma de hacer y trabajar en algo que los políticos y funcionarios en cargos siguen sin enterarse de qué va el mundo del Arte y de sus propios artistas por Pamplona - Iruña. Desde Italia ayer 9 de junio: International Prize ARTIST of de year 2019 y mi trabajo para la Biennal de Mantova se podrá ver hasta el 16 de este mes. En agosto del 3 al 17 me podréis ver en Nigde Turkia . En Setiembre y octubre - en Haegumgand Theme Museum en Korea del Sur y en Noviembre en la Universidad de Caribe en Cancún Mexico. Quien me conoce sabrá que lo vulgar y lo común digamos que me produce alergia, me gusta la vida para vivirla…..no para ser un bucle continuado en el tiempo. Frente a los dormidos en vida que tantos conocí, no me quedó más remedio que crear una inmensa Republik Natxiana donde todo es un continuo trajín de Cultura y arte no sometido al albur de gente sin preparación en cargos y sin el mínimo interés por un desarrollo cultural plural y de investigación – Sus únicas ocupaciones son: no me molesten y déjenme pasar los días del calendario sentado en el despacho, que al final de mes el pueblo no exigente me pagará el sueldo.  José Ortega y Gasset ya se lo dijo: “Lo característico del momento es que el alma vulgar, sabiéndose vulgar, tiene el denuedo de afirmar el derecho de la vulgaridad y lo impone donde quiera... Quien no sea como todo el mundo, quien no piense como todo el mundo, corre el riesgo de ser eliminado.”  Mientras el Axioma sea la vulgaridad , no me queda  más que el mundo exterior y la @Republik Natxiana ya que el chauvinismo local puede exasperar a quien camina por el mundo con sus alforjas llenas de otros mundos por descubrir y amar.
